What have we been up to?

So what's keeping us from updating our adoring public? I will tell all four of you what's taking up all our time. Here's an example. It takes massive amounts of time just to get Finn fed these days. We can't seem to understand why this takes so long. And he seems to eat more than usual. It's almost like he has two stomachs. And something is not quite right with Ellie Dogg. She's packing on the pounds even though we're feeding her the same amount of dog food. There must be some logical explanation. Until we figure it out, our free time is spent pondering this phenomenon.

In other news, we went with Harry, Danielle and Michael down to the Strawberry Festival and VA State Chili Cookoff in downtown Roanoke 2 weekends ago. These were two separate events. 'Cause "ewwwwwww" if they weren't. Finn got to relax in his BOB stroller, but he was unimpressed with the festivities. So unimpressed that he actually slept through most of the chili cookoff. He was just mad that he got neither a strawberry sundae nor a smoothie at the festival.

Later that afternoon, we decided to go to Wildflour Cafe and grab an actual meal. Strawberry sundaes and teaspoons of chili didn't fill us up completely. Finn had to make do with some trusty Puffs while the rest of us ate yummy creations from the talented chefs. Something seemed wrong with Uncle Harry, he only ate rabbit food and barely ate any meat, sausage or cheese. We were in disbelief. This is Finn in disbelief.

This past weekend, our friend Kim received her Master's degree in Communications from NC State and her beau, Brad, honored her with a party. Finn (or Dorsal as he's know in those circles) donned his finest NC State garb and proceeded to get some imaginary corn stuck in his imaginary teeth (not a single real tooth yet, by the way). We're super proud of Kim even though she is mean to us. We know she really loves us but she'd rather bite off her own arm than to say it out loud.

Go 'Pack!!!
We were able to visit our friends at PStrat since Mommy had a meeting to attend where we saw our buddy Conor, one of the other new additions to the PStrat family. He seemed pretty cool, even though he was sleepy and didn't say much. We hung out at Aunt Amanda's house and tried to stay out of trouble as best we could. Phoophie and Granny Big Boss met us in Raleigh so we were able to spend some good time together. We had super fun.

We arrived home early Sunday afternoon. For Mother's Day, John offered to watch the boy and do some chores. heh heh heh. He was on top of his game.

Finn is getting lethal in this Jeep. It's insane how well he can maneuver it through the house. Backward and Forward. Poor Ellie Dogg was run over twice on Sunday and he's all the time ramming me or Daddy. Full throttle ramming. The bottom threshold of the Jeep is just high enough that your foot gets nicely stuck underneath. Ouch. Warp speed ouch.

It's wise to keep s stash of Puffs in the Jeep in case you get hungry while cruising. Those Puffs can be tricky. Probably a good idea to use two hands to keep them contained.

Teething biscuits are another new, wonderful, albeit messy, distraction for us. So worth it for a few minutes of entertainment.

When that stuff dries, it's like cement. Yummy cement.

I really do wish we could figure out why Ellie Dogg is gaining so much weight.

With cooler temperatures on tap for Sunday afternoon, we spent some time in the backyard on our swing. Daddy is getting some nibbles.

Happy Mother's Day! I dig it the most.

Mother's Day smooch!

We hope all our Mothers and mother friends had a great day. I know we sure did. Stay tuned for Finn's school pics and 9 month piglet pics coming soon.
