We've decided to go with a gray-blue and a khaki in the Mongoose's room. Today we started painting the blue. The white diagonal areas will be painted khaki sometime after Mom and Daddy recuperate. For those of you that haven't heard us complain about this yet, the big thing in Roanoke houses is to have a swirly textured finish on all your walls. In fact, you can hardly find houses without it. It's a little weird to me in theory overall, but the worst part is, it's a DEVIL to paint.
Here Daddy is gettin' the elbow grease out. I have been informed that professional painters will be taking care of any additional painting needs that we may have in the future. Score.
Here's another shot of the opposite wall. We split this wall vertically. Paritally to do more weird things to the room, but mostly because trying to paint that whole wall khaki would have necessitated taping the corner between the blue wall and the door frame. These pictures were taken with my phone, but we'll post better ones when we finish the room and start moving stuff in. That's all I'm good for today, next week prepare yourself for oodles of cute. And I mean oodles.

love it love it LOVE IT! send me some paint to huff!
What a cool room, Parker!! You go with your diagonal painting self and husband! I'm a slacker...no moves on making our office a baby room yet--waiting to finish the upstairs of our house to move things around. We won't be painting the baby room because I just painted the ENTIRE house last May :o) Plus, Baby Mac won't be able to see his walls for a while so I figure we can wait.
